I have been active in Western Martial Arts for the past 7 years, initially within the SCA rule-sets of rapier, cut & thrust, and armoured combat; in the last few years doing more in the wider HEMA world with the Melbourne Swordplay Guild and others.
I became active in the Lochac Guild of Defence in 2010 with my Free Scholar’s prize; Six months later I achieved my Journeyman’s prize and in 2012 my Provost prize.
I teach within the SCA and at the School of Historical Fencing.
My research interests include all things Italian, especially the works of Ridolfo Capoferro, Antonio Manciolino, and Fiore dei Liberi.
